MoLAA's mission is to educate the American public about contemporary Latin American art (created by artists who have lived or worked in Latin America since World War II) through the establishment of a significant representative permanent collection and the presentation of dynamic exhibitions and related programs.
The Museum of Latin American Art proudly presents César Menéndez: Hunter of Fantasies. This exhibition brings together 22 paintings and works on paper from the last two decades by the Salvadoran Master.
In the last twenty years, César Menéndez has resolved to create a personal visual language in his work, and a fantastic world that entraps us in a universe where the elemental energies of violence, passion, sexuality, dreams and nightmares reign. The stylistic development and the aesthetic achievement of the artist will be examined in this exhibit.
